The Battlefield
This is our BATTLE week.
The spiritual battlefield manifests in three interconnected realms: the mind, the spiritual realm, and the physical realm, each influencing and reflecting the other in profound ways.
The Mind
The mind is often the primary battlefield in spiritual warfare. It is where thoughts, beliefs, and emotions are shaped and contested. Negative thoughts, fears, and doubts can serve as tools of oppression, while faith, hope, and truth act as powerful counterforces. The mind’s alignment with divine principles or destructive patterns determines actions and outcomes in both the spiritual and physical realms. Renewing the mind through meditation on truth, prayer, and self-discipline is essential for victory in this realm.
The Spiritual Realm
The spiritual realm is an unseen dimension where forces of good and evil engage in a constant struggle. This realm influences both the mind and the physical world, as spiritual principles and powers exert pressure on human experiences. Prayers, intercessions, and declarations serve as weapons in this unseen war, aligning individuals with divine power to counteract spiritual adversaries. Understanding the dynamics of this realm through faith and spiritual discernment empowers believers to engage effectively in spiritual warfare.
The Physical Realm
The physical realm is where the effects of spiritual and mental battles materialize. Actions, relationships, and circumstances in the physical world often reflect the victories or struggles in the mind and spiritual realm. Physical habits, environments, and choices can either reinforce positive spiritual alignment or open doors to negative influences. Discipline in lifestyle, fostering uplifting environments, and engaging in acts of service solidify spiritual victories and manifest peace and progress in tangible ways.
Together, these realms form a complex but navigable battlefield where awareness, intentionality, and spiritual resilience are critical for achieving lasting triumph.

05
Knowing Your Enemy
The kingdom of darkness is a literal, spiritual kingdom, not physical, that is ruled by Satan and a host of fallen angels. It is a well-organized system with a hierarchy and various types of spirits that carry out its purposes.
Here's a breakdown of the structure, according to the sources:
-
Satan is the head of the kingdom of darkness and seeks to be a god in the earth realm. He is an imposter who uses political strategies of fear, deception, and temptation.
-
Principalities are the highest-ranking entities in Satan's army and derive their power directly from Satan. They influence humanity at a national level, impacting laws and policies and often embody world leaders. They are "first in rank and order".
-
Powers are demonic spirits that receive delegated authority from principalities. They affect structures, systems, and the five pillars of society: marriage, family, government, education, and church.
-
Rulers of the darkness of this world are high-ranking officers with specialized jurisdiction over the twelve cosmological systems of the universe. They are responsible for blinding people to truth and facilitating sin. These spirits affect thoughts, feelings, and perceptions through mass media, music, movies, fashion, sports, philosophies, and religious ideologies.
-
Spiritual wickedness in high places refers to spirits in lofty places that are responsible for perversion and corruption. They influence actions, perceptions, motivations, fantasies, and imaginations through the mind. These spirits also frustrate and prohibit answers to prayers.
-
Devils and demons are supernatural spirits that possess the nature of Satan and can distribute fortunes, possess people, and control mindsets. They can be worshiped, make people sick, and communicate.
-
Spirits of the underworld work with high witchcraft operations. The underworld has six regions: death, hell/Sheol/Hades, the grave, the pit, the abyss, and regions of the sea.
-
Spirit birds are mentioned as part of the demonic structure.
-
Familiar spirits are demonic agents who become well-acquainted with a person or group. They conduct surveillance, reconnaissance, and vigilante activities and gather information that is passed to satanic databases. They can use animals, talismans, and people with satanic alliances.
The kingdom of darkness has a sophisticated economy that trades in intellectual properties and the souls of people, where the love of money is a root of evil. It has a mode of worship that brings people into the presence of Satan. The kingdom of darkness is accessible to both spirit beings and human beings who choose to live there by abandoning God’s laws.
The kingdom of darkness seeks to usurp God’s authority and infiltrate the world with fear, deception, and temptations. It is a kingdom of darkness, meaning it is a territory or domain where there is an absence of God, divine revelation, purpose, and destiny. It is an organized system of protocol and a chain of command that is ready to fight a battle using any means at its disposal. It is described as having a cosmological system that is a perverted imitation of God’s creation. This system includes social, entertainment, environmental, economical, governmental, educational, technological, and religious systems that have become strongholds for demonic forces.
It is important for believers to know the structure of the kingdom of darkness in order to be equipped for spiritual warfare. The church is God's defense system in the kingdom and is structured with a five-fold ministry. Believers are given the authority and power to overcome the enemy's attacks.

Weapons of Mass Destruction - See them
Weapons of Mass Destruction: Hiroshima of the Spirit
Read pages 63-110
In the physical world, the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki stand as a chilling reminder of humanity’s capacity for destruction. Yet, in the spiritual realm, there exists a parallel: the Hiroshima of the spirit. This devastation occurs when spiritual weapons of mass destruction—unforgiveness, pride, hatred, and despair—are unleashed, leaving behind a wasteland of broken souls, shattered relationships, and communities engulfed in darkness.
These spiritual weapons strike at the heart of purpose, hope, and faith. They thrive in silence and secrecy, eroding the foundations of inner peace and sowing seeds of division and chaos. Just as the physical bomb left radiation that lingered for decades, the spiritual Hiroshima leaves residual scars—generational pain, distrust, and emotional fallout that ripple through families and societies.
But even amid such devastation, hope can rise, as it did in post-war Hiroshima, where rebuilding began with resilience and unity. In t 63-110he spiritual sense, healing from these weapons demands repentance, forgiveness, and the restoration of faith. It requires the intentional rebuilding of the inner self with love, truth, and grace as the cornerstone, a testament to the human spirit’s capacity for renewal even in the aftermath of profound destruction.
The author describes "Hiroshima of the Spirit" as the weapons of mass destruction that the enemy uses against believers. These weapons are categorized as intrinsic, extrinsic, and esoteric. The battlefield where these weapons are deployed is the mind.
Here's a breakdown of the types of weapons, according to the sources:
-
Intrinsic weapons are internal, and examples include:
-
Abandonment
-
Guilt
-
Shame
-
Spiritual miscarriage
-
Strongholds
-
Vexations
-
-
Extrinsic weapons are external, and examples include:
-
Compromising
-
Condemnation
-
Ethnicity
-
Eventualities
-
Legalism
-
Poverty
-
Sabotage
-
Stigmatization
-
Thorn in the flesh
-
Traditions of men
-
Unholy alliances
-
Violence
-
-
Esoteric weapons are obscure or hidden, and examples include:
-
Intellectualism
-
Perversions
-
Possession
-
Satanic concentration
-
Transference of spirits
-
Unsanctified souls
-
The author emphasizes that it is important to be aware of the enemy's tactics and strategies in order to defend against them.

Counter-attacks Read pages 111-136
The chapter "Ready, Aim, Fire!" focuses on spiritual counterattacks to the weapons of mass destruction used by the enemy. The chapter is designed to train the reader in the field of spiritual warfare. It presents counterattacks in alphabetical order and equips the reader with specific spiritual insights and responses to use against the enemy's - - tactics.
Key points about spiritual warfare and counterattacks from the sources include:
-
Knowing the Rules of Engagement: Just as an army needs to know the rules of engagement to be effective in warfare, so does the church. "The Rules of Engagement" is a manual designed to prepare believers for spiritual war. The book is intended to be a user-friendly reference book that provides victory in battles, empowers believers, and helps them penetrate the kingdom of darkness.
-
Understanding the Enemy: Believers must know their enemy and how he operates against the church. Satan and his demonic forces seek to destroy the church, individuals, and families. It is important to be aware of the enemy's tactics and strategies in order to defend against them. The enemy's weapons are primarily carnal.
-
The Nature of Spiritual Warfare: Spiritual warfare involves battling against spiritual entities, not people. The mind is the primary battleground, where strongholds of the enemy must be pulled down.
-
Utilizing Spiritual Weapons: Believers are equipped with spiritual armor, including the belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shoes of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit. Prayer is also a critical component of spiritual warfare, acting as the linchpin that holds the armor together and activates the other pieces.
-
Countering the Enemy's Weapons: The enemy uses a variety of weapons, including abandonment, compromising, condemnation, guilt, shame, and strongholds. Believers can counter these attacks by:
-
Asking God for alertness, zeal, and urgency.
-
Binding the compromising spirit and superimposing spirits of conviction, excellence, and resolve.
-
Rejecting condemnation.
-
Demolishing strongholds and replacing them with God's word.
-
Using the authority in the name of Jesus.
-
-
Importance of Prayer: Prayer is essential for spiritual warfare. It charges up the believer's spirit, helps them break through spiritual barriers, and allows them to access God's power. Believers should engage in prayer with the understanding that it is a "divine technology" that gives God permission to intervene in human affairs.
-
The Power of the Word: Knowing and applying the Word of God is critical. The Bible is described as the inspired Word of God. It is also the sword of the Spirit and a powerful weapon against the enemy.
-
Strategic Warfare: Believers need to develop a prayer strategy that is targeted, specific, precise, and detailed. The "actionable intel" gained through Bible study can be used to create a personalized prayer strategy against the enemy.
-
Importance of Discernment: Believers need to be like the sons of Issachar, who had an understanding of the times. It is important to discern the times and to take full advantage of the wisdom that God offers. Believers should also be aware that spirits are masterful in their deception and must rely on the Lord and not their own skill.
-
Binding and Loosing: Binding and loosing are ways to implement kingdom customs in the earth. Binding the strongman is a biblical discipline taught by Jesus Christ and is a tool Christians can use against the powers of the dark kingdom.
The chapter "Ready, Aim, Fire!" in "The Rules of Engagement" provides specific responses to the weapons of the enemy. By understanding the principles outlined above, readers can more effectively engage in spiritual warfare and counter the enemy's attacks.

Countering the Enemy's Weapons:
What happened in the wilderness?
-
Jesus resisted the temptations.
-
Jesus returned to Galilee to begin his ministry.
-
Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River and led into the wilderness by the Spirit.
-
Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights.
-
The devil tempted Jesus to sin.
What were the temptations?
-
The devil tempted Jesus to turn stones into bread.
-
The devil tempted Jesus to jump from a high mountain.
-
The devil tempted Jesus to take the kingdoms of the world by force.

-
Importance of Prayer:

-
The Power of the Word:
-
Matthew 4:1-11
-
King James Version
-
4 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
-
2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
-
3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
-
4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
-
5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,
-
6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
-
7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
-
8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
-
9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
-
10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
-
11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

-
Strategic Warfare:
-
Mark 1:12-13
-
12 At once the Spirit sent him out into the wilderness,
-
13 and he was in the wilderness forty days, being tempted[a] by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and angels attended him.

-
Importance of Discernment:
Jesus Is Tested in the Wilderness
-
Luke 4:1 Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, 2 where for forty days he was tempted[a] by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry.
-
3 The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.”
-
4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone.’[b]”
-
5 The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. 6 And he said to him, “I will give you all their authority and splendor; it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. 7 If you worship me, it will all be yours.”
-
8 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.’[c]”
-
9 The devil led him to Jerusalem and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down from here. 10 For it is written:
-
“‘He will command his angels concerning you
-
to guard you carefully;
-
11 they will lift you up in their hands,
-
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’[d]”
-
12 Jesus answered, “It is said: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’[e]”
-
13 When the devil had finished all this tempting, he left him until an opportune time.

-
Binding and Loosing:
-
Memorize Matthew 16:19
-
"I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven".

Binding and loosing" is a phrase from the Bible that refers to the authority to declare what is permitted or forbidden on earth. It is a concept that appears in the New Testament in Matthew 16:19 and Matthew 18:18-20.
Explanation
-
Application
The phrase can be used to define doctrine, establish discipline, and apply love to others.
-
Example
In Matthew 16:19, Jesus tells Peter that he has the authority to bind and loose on earth, and that what he does will also be done in heaven.
-
Origin
The phrase originated in Jewish legal phraseology and rabbinical Judaism.
-
Meaning
"Binding" means to declare something forbidden, while "loosing" means to declare something permitted.
Significance
-
The phrase represents the transfer of authority from eternity into time.
-
It is a legitimate, God-ordained right that believers can pray to access.
-
It is a way for believers to participate in God's will for His church.

Matthew 18:18-20
King James Version
18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

The chapter "Ready, Aim, Fire!" in "The Rules of Engagement" provides specific responses to the weapons of the enemy [from conversation history]. By understanding the principles outlined above, readers can more effectively engage in spiritual warfare and counter the enemy's attacks.
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

The cloak of zeal is a metaphor for the Christian's burning desire to do God's will. It's a part of the armor of God, which is described in Ephesians 6.

Zeal is a passionate, energetic, or ardent quality.
-
It's a driving force, a purpose, or what someone lives for.

For Christians, zeal is a desire to live according to God's purpose.
How does it work?

-
Jesus Christ's example of zeal is driving the moneychangers out of the temple.
